At what age did you have your first sip of beer?  I thinki was 3 or 4 years old.  My dad use to sit in the front porch and drink a beer or two after work and would give me a sip sometimes.I only ask because I am enjoying a frosty brew and my daughter keeps asking for a sip. 4951

Not beer, but wine.  My parents used to give all us kids a little bit of wine with Italian dinner and nobody liked it but me, story is everyone (4 older siblings) gave theirs to me and I got out of my highchair and ran into a wall, I was 2.  My mother was horrified and I still love wine Emoticon 4951

I was fairly young but times were different.

Try dipping your finger and letting her taste a tiny drop from your finger.  Or, use a small straw to get a drop or two.  That's what we did with my son.  He hated it and that was more than plenty for him. He was 7 or 8, maybe.  The visual on a young child drinking beer, even in a private home, is just not a great one.  4951

@foxymama:   Same as you.  I didn't like it but my dad was drinking it so I liked to taste it.  He never let me have more than a taste.

I came from a family of wine drinkers and my mother used to joke with me telling me at two she let me dip Napa red wine. 4951

That sounds like our house too. Mom had the mother of all fits when she saw him do it.

sipped at about age 5 and threw it up! Never drank beer again. But if counting first alcohol, does having your gums rubbed with Wild Turkey while you're teething count?   If so about 3 months old. 4951

Grandpa let me have a sip of his "bug juice" aka beer when I was 3 or 4. I HATED it & to this day I can't stand beer. 4951

I would say 3 or 4.My parents had a rule once I turned 10-as long as I was home, I could drink.  There was hardly ever any hard alcohol in the house though. 4951
