I saw lots of comments saying this was a joke, but I knew a guy in college who would answer ads for free kittens to feed to his snake. Unfortunately it does happen. 4951

No one knows if that particular post  a joke or real but I know people have served time in jail for doing it.  To those us in Rescue, this is not news but many unsuspecting folks don't know about this. 4951

I detest reptiles in general. I have a friend though who has a couple of pythons...one is small enough to feed pinkies (baby mice), but the other one eats large rats and I had just started wondering...what's next after that? Rabbits? And then what? Ugh, so revolting.I am thinking about unfriending this person in IG because, frankly, I don't want to watch videos and see pictures every ****** time they feed their snakes. I have Instagram to look at pretty things, not that ish. 4951

OMG ! I had no idea that some people could be so cruel to baby animals...how horrible, thanks for putting out the word maybe this will protect some small animals from certain death . 4951

My BFF's son used to have a corn snake. They would buy frozen whole mice at the pet store. They would set them out to thaw at room temp and then feed them to the snake. I guess that's a decent alternative. My son sometimes buys feeder fish for his water turtle. I guess it's kind of the same concept, but those fish weren't ever going to be someone's pet. I think most of us are just sympathetic to mammals. It's natural to feel that way. 4951

My Feral Cats catch, kill and eat mice. Â I don't hold it against them. Â It's nature. Â I just could not catch and feed it to them. Â 4951

I knew a co-worker that said he puts other dogs with his pit bull she kills them. I didn't ask how many times he did it but he said dogs. People are crazy its been that way forever. That's why we need cops and jails. I never gift a animal unless I completely trust them. As a rule of thumb if a woman is involed I feel better giving them. 4951

I've found and adopted a ferret and I caught a California King snake that I found a home for in my yard since I have lived here. I love animals and will do what I can for those that are abandoned or can't survive without help but... if I ever find a boa or a python in my yard... I'm gonna make a really nice hat band. 4951

Why not use babies? It could help decrease the surplus population. 4951
