I agree...the use of the wood grain looking tile is better. Much warmer feeling than bland builder grade tile. It feels cold.....rugs help of course! 4951
I think all tile will increase the value. Many people are getting away from any type of carpet due to allergens, pets, fleas, stains, Etc. I give it another decade or two and carpet will be a thing of the past. When I bought my house I put in real hardwood throughout except for the bathrooms and the kitchen. Those will get re-tiled as soon as I start remodeling them. I am a huge fan of natural stone tile over ceramic. Natural stone will stand the test of time as far as floor fashions. Although, I do like the wood grain tile a lot. I considered tiling my whole house but I have some foundation issues. I have the lifetime transferable warranty through olshans when I bought it. But once I pulled up all the carpet and laminate I saw some cracks that probably would have kept making the creep upwards through the tile no matter what type of patch job I did. Once you pull the carpet keep these type cracks in mind. They do make an additive for thin set to help make it more pliable over minor cracks. 4951
I'm not sure if this link will work. But I love love love this floor! I think this is possible with the ceramic wood tile. Just buy all the different colors. I'm pretty sure the actually pic is reclaimed wood. 4951
