I have been using a little Holmes heater for 16 years now. Warms a room in minutes I keep the heat on low at night on a metal table in my room. Central heater went out 4 years ago. The weather changes so much the house stays warm by itself. 4951
there is a regulator switch on most its like a circuit board. Â they have fuses on them. Â tap that fuse and see if it trips back on. Â The switchboard and fuses are dirt cheap. Â Most AC repair will charge you over 100 for them. Â I got ours at the ac part store in humble for like 20 bucks.(husband in AC business but not HVAC) Â Also before you spend tons of $$$ check all your fuses in the fuse box. 4951
Aldi had a room heater for a good price. Don't know if they still do or not since they change their inventory so quickly. Good luck and try to stay warm. 4951
I called my home waranty people. I dont trust my machine, last time it cost a $800 part, which I was glad I used the home warranty for. Its only a $65 service call.Anybody heard of Arring's? Its in Kingwood. Unfortunately my home warranty only assignes a company from thier list and would not let me just pick one.Sure could have used a cozy warm partner last night. Slept in pj's and several blankets. I never sleep in pjs 4951
the tech came by,, replaced some switch, I think it was the ignitor. He said they go out all the time and is usually the culprit. Next time I will keep that in mind. Its probalby a $20 item, but better safe than sorry. He gave me a lot off good recommendations, which I was never given before, and a possible price on a replacement for a new one.Arrings is a great company and gave me some great advice. 4951
