On Friday December 19th we were Burglarized sometime between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:00 pmAmong the items stolen were an X-Box 1 and several accessories. Also 3 guns, a knife collection and 2 Fire Proof Lock Boxes about 18" x 14" x 6". Unfortunetly, the lock boxes had alot of sentimental items, paper work and not much valuable items. We had about (15) Video Tapes of my Children and Grandchildren which dated back almost 30 years and included many childhood and High School memories. This I can NOT Replace and pray that it will be found somewhere discarded in our Community. If found, please notify the Kingwood Police and reply back as i will be checking this site regularly. The Police have a list of stolen items and we do have a couple leads which we are pursuing aggressively. We are offering a Reward for the return of the 2 Lock Boxes and it's contents and hope to recover the other material items. The items were removed from our house and put in my son's black Nike bag and a Camoflouge bag. So if anyone finds or recognizes these 2 bags please let us know as well. Thanks Kingwood Community and hopefully our Prayers will be answered. 4951
The type of people who steal guns probably aren't in the business of returning or keeping stolen items they can't use. Usually thieves like that will burn whatever isn't useful so it doesn't leave traces...hopefully someone will apprehend before it's too late. I once had my purse snatched in Austin, and a firefighter found it burning in a dumpster along with four other bags. He was able to save some very important things. I will pray someone finds your sentimental items! 4951

We are almost certain that it was teenagers as per the items taken and how it was done. I did not post more critical details which would confirm the police and our suspicions. The sad part is we moved here 2 years ago and love the community but feel violated and distrustful after this crime. The items were removed from our house and put in my son's black Nike bag and a Camoflouge bag. So if anyone finds or recognizes these 2 bags please let us know as well. 4951
Years ago we would leave the house and leave it unlocked. I patrolled out here at the time. These days my house is like Fort Knox. Alarms, cameras, exterior motion detectors etc... 4951
I have a big dog that is totally harmless but has a very menacing bark. When someone comes to the house she barks once or twice. More than once, I have answered the door to see the person standing in the middle of the yard. It's kind of funny but I'm sure that anyone checking out a perspective house to rob would look elsewhere. We have an alarm system but I have heard that a motion detecting camera is a good idea as well. 4951

Wow, that dog picture looks just like the one we own and it acts similiar to yours. It always barks at whoever drives in the driveway or comes near the side or back of the house where it stays. The unfortunate thing is we were out of town for a few days when this occured only to find out when we returned that we were burglarized. What a great "welcome home" suprise!! We believe as do the police the teenagers knew we were going out of town for a few days.  They actually broke in the day we left thru a window and tracked mud thru out the whole house. 4951
