One of our easy weekday meals has been the Campbell's slow cooker pouches found on the same aisle as the dry sauce mixes. The pulled pork is super easy to make and freezes well. 4951

We need to use our crock pot more often.  I get tired of dry chicken and it is always moist from a crock pot. 4951

Sounds vile. If you could cook, you wouldn't need a crockpot to create moist cooked meat. 4951

I would like to find a good collection of recipes that are NOT just cans of cream of "this or that soup" with chicken and extras. Those get old quickly after you make one or two. I would also like to move past the typical boring roast with veggies. 4951

@donnatella

This isn't the exact recipe I used before but the crock pot lasagne was smashing!

WW is real food, minus the uber rich fat and calories. I don't mind those at all and have tried several that are fabulous, just not any for crock pot cooking. 4951

@choclab:

Um, it's not about "if you can cook".... It's ideal for dual-income families, to come home to an already cooked, hot meal. I'm lucky I can work from home, but I still use mine bc I prep either on my lunch break or while on conference calls and it frees up my evening to help get homework done, get the kids bathed and have time with them.

No need for negativity - if you have nothing to add to the original post, why add your 1-cent (bc it's not even worth 2 cents...). 4951

@donnatella, I never use any of the mixes or soups either.  Just don't like that stuffEmoticonTaste of Home usually has some good recipes, and the majority of them are all from scratch.  And @Francita is right, WW has some good recipes too.  I have a friend that sends me the ones she likesEmoticon

@Fallon:

I'm sure you can substitute the light stuff for regular stuff if you want more of a traditional lasagne. But some off their recipes are very good. Both my parents are in ww right now mom sends me recipes too. The one I made before was light but not ww. 4951

Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce on chicken breast. After an hour or so, shred or cube the chicken. Steam some brown rice with a little low sodium soy sauce & put some of the sauce on top. Healthy AND the best crock pot recipe in the world ever. 4951

I love cooking beans in the crockpot. I cooked some red beans on Friday. I added sausage and the leftover ham bone from Christmas. It was so freaking yummy.

Also really like Paula Deens taco soup in the crock pot. It's great served with Fritos and shredded cheese.

I don't cook much else in the crock pot. I like the pressure cooker for chicken, beef tips and pork chops. It makes a really good gravy.

Hubby bought me a 8 qt crock pot for christmas! I've been pinning recipes for the last few days! Even pinned a lemon chicken recipe for when my shipment of lemons from @fallon comes! 4951
