Mark Porter. He has an office on the southbound feeder road between 1314 and Northpark. He is good, he is fair, and is a Christian. He handled my custody issue over 16 years ago, I at that time, was one of the few men that ended up with custody and my ex wife paid me child support. 4951

C.C. "SONNY" PHILLIPS

As a lady said many moons ago "He makes em pay". Good ole knock down drag out family destroyer.

The lady lies about how bad her man was the children believe nuff said.

My ex girlfriend bragged about getting back at her ex she filed child support in his later life. He's on a fixed income so she gets a cool $550 and spends it on a Ford garbage bag with 4 wheels.

I asked her "why did you leave him?"

She goes on "because he just left me while I was pregnant. "

I see pictures of her young and she is gorgeous. Yeah he just left her. 4951

My son as well as my wife and I wish we had never heard of Cordell and Cordell.
They put two women representing our son and guess what they did for him.
Lost his butt. 4951

There's no such thing as a good attorney, but there are terrible ones.

Good luck!

I believe there are good ones(lawyers) out there that know the law and our rights  better than we do.  I'm afraid that she will be taken advantage of and be left with little or nothing, with out one, after basically sacrificing her life for him, putting him thru school ( he has a doctorate) while she raised the kids and did part time, volunteer, work, etc.She is in shock right now. She needs someone to help her in a pro active way with some positive advise for the future. 4951

I'm sorry for your friend and hope they can end up with a reasonable decree that benefits both mom and dad so the kids won't feel the effects any more than they already will.

I have yet to run across an attorney who wouldn't sell their soul to the devil for money or a victory in court. In other words, NONE who have morals and ethics. The more you pay, the more effort they put into your case. They will only do the right thing when they find a client willing to pay in full.

Even an assistant district attorney that tried a case I was in left immediately after my trial to become a defense attorney. He said there was more money in it. I asked what about the truth. He said "to me, money is truth." What an honorable man he is. He was on the team who defended Casey Anthony too. Sickening!!!

@jax, that was way harsh.  Not all lawyers are pond scum bottom feeders.  A lot of them do a tremendous amount of good, fighting AGAINST those pond scum bottom feeders.  There are always two sides to a matter before the court.  4951

@donnatella:

Like I said, I have never met an honorable lawyer...nope, not a single one. I don't believe there is such an attorney out there. Oh, they may "appear " to be, but they really aren't. I put them in the same category as politicians, but just a little below them.

Of course they don't. I refuse to pay them outrageous amounts of money for them to suppress evidence or lie, which is part of their oath to become an attorney.

One of my very best friends is an attorney. She is completely trust worthy and honorable. She is an in house attorney for a corporation and also works on medical cases on the side. Her heart is in helping the underdog. You simply cannot blanket all attorneys as slime. I love this girl and we would not be friends if she was a slime ball attorney.

Most are slime but not all.  I have worked around a few who are outstanding and would help anyone pro bono if they believed in their case enough.  Now defense attorney's are a different beast all together. 4951
