My first ever apple pie.  Still cooling but it smells awesome in here.   I may have put in too much of the liquid part of the filling because when I went to pull it out, some had bubble through and was bubbling away on the bottom of the oven., Hopefully when it is all cool it will still be palatable.  4951

@Murf:

It should thicken up a bit after it cools off. 4951

@mpjp0907: Hope so, after I saw how much filling I had left over,  figured I could use some more flavor in the pie so I poured a good amount into the pie. heh.

I think it will be fine.  With a top and bottom crust, you need extra juice/sauce or it will be dry.  4951

Looks yummy! And a good cook is a messy cook! If your oven is clean, you aren't cooking enough. My new motto since my oven needs to be cleaned...justification. 4951

I thought I smelled something yummy! I'm going to go knock on every door until I find your house. Maybe if I wear a costume, people will think it's Halloween again. 4951

@Murf....Dude...  That is one AMAZE-BALLS lookin' pie, my friend.......And if it tastes half as good as it looks, you just might have to open a homemade pie delivery service...  “Cut my pie into four pieces, I don’t think I could eat eight.”
