OK , first off, I am not a fan of cats. I have had two for around 18 years or so and I am convinced that they wont die just to **** me off......that being said,I rode my bike to day through Kings Crossing apts and started counting the feral cats I came across. By the time I got 3/4 around the loop I was already and over 100 animals and quit counting. Poor dumn cats are just looking around and I hope that the people who owned these did not really just simply abandon them. It you are one of these lo life worthless human beings I would like to meet with you personally. They are scheduled to tear this dump down on 31 jan.....I dont really know whom to call but plan on calling a shelter. If you read this please call as well. One call from one old fart wont make much difference but a bunch of calls from folks would certainly get someones attention. Its a shame that these animals are simply left to fend for themselves. None of the ones I seen looked starving or skinny, and with the pond there they do have plenty of water.....The world they live in now will drastically change in 30 days and they will be needing some help. 4951

Shame on those people who treat their animals like trash and just leave them. I already have four(4) rescue cats otherwise I would take a couple in just to make sure they had a home. 4951

Maybe calls to Ted Poe's office? If there are really that many breeding cats, disease is imminent. 4951

What is needed here is a Colony Manager (s).  These are people to TNR and feed daily.  If these cats go to the pound, they will be killed. 4951

I used to live on a greenbelt lot in Sherwood Trails. We had so many feral cats that lived behind our houses, it began to be a health issue for our domesticated animals that had to share space. My neighbor called the county. They said they'd help only if she became the 'ambassador' for the cats and responsible for trapping and transporting to the pound. Of course, she declined. Some neighbors began feeding them and leaving out fresh water, so they hung around. It's a horrible situation and, I suppose, rampant in the community. 4951

I have only seen a handful of stray cats in the years I've been in Kingwood...I guess my big dogs have always scared them away! 4951

@Burnsway: You are right!  I didn't even see that.  Good eye.  Can you see if any are ear tipped?  I can't tell on my small screen.

Whoa! That's a lot of cats! A few years back my bf lived there, and cats had kittens on his patio. There were a lot of strays back then. We found homes for the kittens, and he's since moved. I can see the problem has gotten worse. Poor kitties! 4951

Years ago there was a stray that kept hanging around house. i was going out of country for a few months so I called one of the rescue groups. They wanted me to feed it! I said was leaving country and could/would not do so. No attempt from them to come out, gave no time frame. I think they intended for me to foster. Is sad... 4951

@mutton: Of course they wanted you to feed the cat and foster it.  Rescues' job is not to come and get every animal out there, we can't afford it nor do we have the time  since most people in Rescue are all volunteers who usually have full time jobs  and or families to tend to.  They Rescue out of the love and passion for animals.  We expect the public to give us a hand when they find an animal but either fostering or helping with boarding and vetting.  It takes a village.
