Its all about respect. Homeowners have a right to their property. Neighbors have a responsibility to respect their neighbors even if they have different values.
One person may not mind bike riding in their yard. Good for them. That doesnt mean everyone has to believe what they do. As a society we need to respect differences and teach our kids to respect others.
Sounds like both parties could learn to respect each others differences and be a better example of showing respect in front of impressionable kids.
@Stealth83: Bingo! I was taught if you are not playing with the neighborhood kids then you were to respect their property by not being on it. It's simple. Kids are not being taught that. I have kids and have taught them this. I see it all the time with some parents who let their kids roam the neighborhood and have witnessed them destroy neighbors property, whether it be harmless or not, boundaries should be set and a mutual respect of others and their property.And if more Parents were out watching their kids and parenting them rather than not, this would probably be a different outcome.
