I'm interested as well.I haven't tried one yet.  I bet they make fine web surfing machines, but you will be tied to the net for anything else.  They come with a small amount of storage and most apps are "in the cloud".. you have to be online to use them.  So, if you travel you'll be limited.   4951

I bought one for my daughter last Christmas.  It is great for surfing the web, but that's about it.  It doesn't support Flash, so even the Web is a bit limited in some aspects.  I wouldn't recommend it for an adult who wanted to do anything beyond basic web surfing. The apps are a bit limited -- can't even put Skype on it. It's a quick start up and quick moving machine, but not overly impressive. 4951

I ran across a great deal and bought two of them about a year ago. I have them both away. It's only purpose it's to surf the web. I wouldn't recommend one. 4951

Depends what you want to use it for.@fallon, I got DD a Lonovo laptop for school running Win 8.I was looking into one for me for my photography hobby. Something easy and light to take with. You can use google office for word processing, spreadsheets powerpoint stuff. You can access Gmail or any other web based mail.Picasa has the photography stuff. There are more apps you can use, but it is still limited. Some things do work offline, like google office stuff. But it is still limited. 4951
