Just heard on the news that the feeder is closed northbound between KW Dr and NP. It was a 1 vehicle accident - a 21 yr old man hit a tree after travelling at a high speed on the freeway then exited NP. I think they said he was going 100 mph. Very sad. m.click2houston.com/ news/21yearold-drive r-killed-after-losin g-control-and-s 4951

@goldie: That's what I heard... It's been out there since 3am. I said to my husband who travels 100 miles an hour in rain - he said alcohol.... I wonder if it was a local kid. 4951
This is close to where I work at. It is in the same area that another fatality happened years ago to a young lady. It appears to be the same tree that was hit then. It is on the feeder between Kingwood Drive and NP Exit, right beside the new Chevron. They said he was a 21 year old, this is the same age as my daughter. Makes me sad no matter what the circumstances were that caused the accident. A young man is gone and his family is left behind to put together the pieces. No parent should ever have to face this. Prayers go out to the family. May God bless each and every one of you and please be very careful whether the roads are wet or dry. 4951
That whole little area is such a cluster *&%$ with that exit and all the people dangerously breaking the law and making an immediate right turn onto Northpark Plaza Dr.I regularly see people trying to dart across multiple lanes almost get themselves tboned. I wonder if this accident has anything to do with that behavior. Anyone carrying speed on the feeder is a bullet compared to someone trying to turn right crawling at 15-20mph.They really need to put up a divider on the offramp forcing people to not cross the double lines 500ft before they are allowed to. It would help traffic flow tremendously. 4951
