Kroger of course with the discount.  I haven't seen $1.12 for gas for 20 years. 4951

@Nurse3: there was a glitch in the system the other day that gave me .80 off instead of 0.08

@mm4731: NICE!  Love it when those glitches work in our favor.

Gas was 80 cents at some point in 2000/2001. I remember paying 59.9 cents one of those summers in Austin.

Supreme was like 1.20 - 1.50 from 1997 (when I got a license) until about 2002. I remember because my car required Supreme. 4951

I was in Montana in 1996 and I remember paying $1.86 which was really high compared to here or Florida.  I don't remember what it was before that.  I just remember talking to my mom about it.  The buck a gallon off was for my Kroger rewards points.  No scam on this end.  LOL@BooBear@kman1000 4951

@mm4731: How do ya get .08  off? If ya don't, have any points saved it gives ya .03 right? and every 100 pts you have built up gives ya .10 off .   I've gotten .80 and .90 off before, and the .03 how do ya get .08?

I remember as gas approached a quarter a gallon thinking "people won't stand for a quarter a gallon for gas".  I remember as gas approached $.50 a gallon thinking "people won't stand for $.50 a gallon gas".  I remember as gas approached $1 a gallon thinking "people won't stand for $1 a gallon gas".  Now I think people would celebrate $1 a gallon gas.If you look at a chart of gas prices, either raw or adjusted for inflation, you'll see a spike under Carter, a dip under Reagan, a spike when the Dems took congress in 2006, a dip at the end of the Bush admin, and a spike under Obama. We'd have sub $2 per gallon gas if the administration now wasn't dumping so many regulations on the oil industry. 4951
