This is my DS first year at Kingwood Middle. I have noticed that many times different teachers / coaches bail him out of situations where he should be taking responsibility. How are they reinforcing responsibility when they do everything for him??? 4951

We plan to. It is just frustrating when at home we are really trying to enforce it. The administration is great. It is the teachers. Time for conferences. 4951

My oldest now 22 was 2 years ahead in school(willis ISD), her average IQ is VERY HIGH, she actually entered college at age 16. Because things came so easy and she was so smart teachers always let her slip and slide on things like homework or not turning assignments in, Missed points like 1 point from 100% and would give it to her. Just some examples. Many of my family members did the same. One time she actually skipped math and stayed in choir room for 3 hours just to work on a project. Her math teacher called and I panicked because no one knew where she was and it was scary, I was searching the woods by the bus stop and freaking out when they called me back. She was given a weeks detention and I took her phone away and grounded her. So what happened, her principle called her in Monday afternoon and said a day was enough and let her off....UUUHHHGGGGGShe turned out ok....LOL But it doesnt really help them when these things happen! 4951

I have experience with kids like your daughter :-) they are awesome. He forgot his choir shirt at school, even though he had it for over a month in his locker. Just never brought it home. He told his choir teacher he forgot it. New shirt. Forgets his entire football uniform. No problem, you can borrow a new one. Oh, you forget your homework every week? It's ok. I'll just put a 70 in the gradebook. Grrrr! 4951
