I use Photoshop elements, usually around $80 and it does almost as much as Photoshop CS.
But if you a free alternative, and are using Windows, get paint.net it is very powerful, and eat to use, where gimp is pretty hard to use.

Thanks Fofa, I will give that one a try. It does seem easier to use as I dont need near all the functions Gimp offers, but I used Gimp as it worked quite well with my RAW images. 4951

I use Microsoft Photo Gallery. It is easy to use and I just edited 600 pictures with it and they turned out great. 4951

@jls2:  That works fine for my needs too.  Usually, all I need is to crop, lighten, darken, adjust the constrast, and sometimes tweak the colors.

I took an old Polaroid picture - probably 52 years old and freshened it up:

You can usually get a copy if photoshop elements a couple versions back of eBay for around $25I like elements, it comes with a organizer which works better than any free one I have ever tried. And for around $10 more you can get a combo with a video editor (that's what I have) and they are relatively easy to use as a package. 4951
