They dropped TCU out and moved Ohio into the playoffs.  So much for for that system's integrity.  It's still based on a committee VOTING for the top four teams.  Ohio has more name-recognition than TCU or Baylor and I guess they figured they would draw more money. 4951

I agree with Briles - the slogan the conference blabbed all season was "One true champion" and then they wussed out by naming co-champions even though Baylor beat TCU.The conference didn't do Baylor any favors by not giving them the full championship

@Stealth83:

It's rediculous! Everyone else has a champion. Not hard to figure out who the real champ is! 4951

And Ohio State is a better team, better strength of schedule, didn't give up 61 points to a team they lost to and they won their conference championship.It shows the Big 12 needs to either get 2 more teams so they can have a real championship game or the teams in the conference need to upgrade their defense and their non-conference schedules.At the end of the year, Ohio State is a full team, offense, defense and special teams.They held a Heisman finalist to just a handful of yards and they are playing with their 3rd quarterback of the year and put up 55 points.  That's an all around team.I get being a homer, but logic prevailed and that's what they were charged with doing

@Stealth83: Then why did they wait until the last weekend to recognize those stats?  All the rankings had TCU in third place plus TCU stomped Iowa State yesterday 55 to 3.   Suddenly, Ohio State is better?!?

Just like with the BCS...someone gets screwed every year.

Nobody has given a decent explanation why TCU goes from 3 to 6. 4951

@PedroDePacas: Agreed.  They need to predefine all the stats they will use to rank college teams so we can keep track as the season progresses, and then there is no need to "vote" for the top four teams at the end of the season.They really screwed up the inaugural college playoffs with this crap. I will make it a point to skip the Ohio game.

Neither BU or TCU can say that.

@Stealth83:   only because the Big 12 conference screwed them. I agree that the Big 12 needs 2 more GOOD teams.  Who calls a conference the "Big 12" with only 10 schools?

What was Iowa St  ranked before the game?What was Wisconsin ranked before the game?final scores?  Heisman finalist?   Ohio State won more convincingly against a better quality opponent.As for Baylor jumping them, well KState was ranked higher than Iowa St also so that improved their strength of schedule.The Big 12 is antiquated and they need an infusion of 2 strong teams.  TCU and Baylor both have great offenses but they don't have any D.That all hurts.

@Stealth83:

Baylor played great D last night! 4951
