Ok so I'm wanting a few opinions from experts aka moms. DH, DD, & I all tested positive for type A flu influenza. (Just a super icky, super contagious type of flu.) DD & I tested positive yesterday. The only symptoms she had yesterday was a fever (that's subsided today), a cough, & that's it. She wasn't experiencing the aches, chills, puking, diarrhea, & all that wonderful jazz I had. She woke up this morning with her face, neck, & arms covered in little red spots. They don't hurt & she has no other symptoms, just the cough that's gotten a bit better & now these red spots. DH works at the hospital & showed pics I texted of the rash to her Dr. who thought she may have had an allergic reaction to the tamiflu but she hasn't taken it since this morning, has been taking benedryl, & no change in spots. So my question to all you experts is have any of your babies experienced this before? 4951
Even with a positive flu test & no sore throat or strep symptoms? The flu test was very positive. My husband brought the flu home (works at the hospital), who gave it to she & I. 4951
I was gonna say the same. Â Younger kids can get Roseola its the way of the poisons coming thru the skin. Â Specially with higher fevers. Â Nothing to worry about. Â Could also be allergic reaction to meds if its itchy. 4951
I would first go with heat rash from the fever or roseola...but if it doesn't get better or she seems to get sicker I would take her in as a rash when sick with something like the flu can be more serious sign of a deeper and/or secondary infection. 4951

@Heathur: So he stole it?Or did you two register and it is being paid for?
@Stealth83: Â Maybe not, they have tons of samples they allow workers to use. usually not suppose to let others have it but I wouldn't go as far as to say theft.....lol 4951
That he brought the flu home? Considering he had a freaking flu shot, they should be fearful that the airborne germs from the ER are coming for them next!! #nooneissafe 4951
That was AT the dr.'s office. Where she tested positive for type A flu. It didn't get above 100.9 at home & we broke it by bedtime. Hasn't been feverish since she woke but I've had cold compresses on this phantom rash on & off. 4951
