Does or did anyone have a Samsung S 3 that would continuously restart on its own every 20 minutes or so?  I've read on the net a bit about the issue, but each solution is IT Tech-speak and I don't follow.  my company phone and I won't be back in the office for another week.  I hate to have to take it to an ATT store myself but I just might have no choice. Anyone else have that similar issue that can help me out?  I've already pulled the battery and the SIM card, let it set for a while, and put it back together, but it didn't help. @Drekonix @Kingwooddotdom @Odin @MTechnique, you guys are the only tech guys I know of off hand, but I'm grateful for anyone's assistance.  4951

@mpjp0907: Mine too, just over the last few days. I got an update of some kind, and it's been happening ever since.

DH has been having the same problem with his phone ever since he downloaded the new update. It's not very 20 minutes, but it does happen fairly often. 4951

@donnatella: I had the same phone, and it started out doing that sporadically but may soon go on what techies call 'the death loop' where it restarts over and over but won't do anything else. Hurry up and save your contacts, pictures, etc to your sim card!! I had about 3 weeks from when it started to when it was completely fried.Sorry, hope it's some other glitch. But it sounds exactly like what happened to my last phone.Emoticon

you have the answer right in all these responses. it has to be a glitch in the update that everyone downloaded. if you google that, it might tell you how to either reverse the update or to repair it 4951

Oh, great.  My wife, son, and I all have Samsung Galaxy S3s.  I apparently haven't had the latest update yet.  About a month after we bought our phones, it loaded an upgrade which undid all the settings we had set.Obviously, Samsung and Android need to do better testing before releasing updates. 4951

It's just my work phone. I don't store anything on there and all of my contacts are connected to my work email on the system. This phone is just for calling and mobile email checking, so if it dies, the company will just replace it. No worries at all.

Hey, @bp2018 and @mpjp0907, we should turn this into a game of sort and see whose phone can live the longest. First phone to die, buys a round of 'ritas...second phone to die buys the next round. Last phone holder standing gets to dance on the table after the third 'Rita....LOL. @Elle10, you're invited too, but since you're already died, you're sorta out of the running, but you can still enjoy the party and laugh at the "winner" dancing like an idiot on the table.

I had something similar happen to a droid once, I started by Uninstalling any apps I didn't use that often. After one of it's restarts, it just started working again.Never knew which app was causing it since I didn't use them hardly. 4951
