The only time I have had problems at an EZ Tag lane was when an idiot got to the booths and realized they were in the wrong lane, so they came to a stop.  Of course, the car behind it slammed into it. It happened right in front of me. 4951

On the Beltway @ 290 all toll lanes bottleneck in the morning due to traffic volume. Any other time, the EZ Tag lanes should still move freely, though people should slow down a bit as they pass through. 4951

A year or so ago one of the news stations did a segment on it, it was hilarious (yet so sad), they had lots of videos of "IDIOTS" (yes, if this is you, sorry, you're an IDIOT) slamming on their brakes, trying to back up, trying to get over from the far EZ Tag lane, some causing accidents, the others just making idiots of their selves. The reporter kept reminding people that if they are in an EZ tag lane by mistake, not to stop, ect., to go on through and accept your ticket, come on people, really, if someone needs to tell you that, turn in your license! My personal opinion, and I'm sure it won't be popular, is to require EZ tags from everybody that uses the tollways (like the beltway from 59 to 10), notice there is no traffic like the line of people waiting in the change made line, or more Idiots in the change lane with not enough change (it's my belief 90% of them know they don't have it and are just trying to beat the system as the bar raises after a while). Would eliminate how many toll road employees? And get traffic moving. If you don't have a CC, buy one for $5 at Walmart, ect, it will save you more than that with the reduced fees. 4951
