first of all, one of your links doesn't work. second, you have to understand the difference in the long term vs the short term. long term is there is climate change and humans and their actions are a major lever in that change. in short term outlooks, you can have a cold winter...or a rainy summer ...or any other condition that may be outside the conceptual frame of climate change but that is because climate change does not mean there will not be variances within a time frame. as a side note, the national geographic did a special about polar bears a while back and found essentially the same thing with the added fact that, since polar bears swim from place to place, with the shrinking of the arctic iceshelves, the distances have drastically increased that the mothers and their cubs have to swim. the net result is that often because of the increase in distance, the cubs can't make it and drown.add to this the climate change can also mean that winters can be colder and summers hotter with less rainfall. it is not as simple as gee it's cold today. i'm wearing my coat so there is no global climate change
