What's the Ebola debacle? The only debacle is President Obola refusing to restrict travel, and all these liberal, run to other countries to help so you can get some glory, medical workers running to the streets of America the second they're exposed to Ebola. That woman on the Five was making a point about being prepared for voting. She was making the point that if you aren't going to bother informing yourself about the issues and candidates, you might as well not vote.
@fcabanski: Ebola is a communicable disease and extremely deadly, but it is not very contagious as evidenced by the fact that only healthcare workers have been infected from patients. It is clear by now that restricting travel is not necessary. Once the patient has symptoms, it's nasty stuff, difficult to get rid off and very dangerous. I agree some precautions need to be made with travelers coming into the US, especially if they have been in Africa. Now, "closing the borders", as Fox News is practically demanding is absolutely unnecessary and would have worse effects on the crisis itself and on other aspects. Many people get on planes with much more contagiuos nasty stuff, like TB, measels, the flu and many more. While not as deadly in terms of the percentage of people who die, they all can be fatal and more people die from those than Ebola. Why not monitor them too? Will you close the borders for any SARS epidemic? What about MERS? Fox News is just as bad as CNN and MSNBC. Just because they are "right leaning" I am not going to fall for their "blame Obama for everything" approach. That woman has no right to say who can and who cannot vote.Â
