I opened a bag of beans to cook and noticed many of them have started sprouting. Â Are they still good since they are supposed to be dry beans? While searching online about this I see that people soak their beans then let them sprout before cooking. I don't think this is the same thing since mine were dried. 4951
@mogopups....Okay dude........Spit it out, my friend......Is your name really Jack?...And where did you really score these magical sprouting beans? 4951
And I go out of my way to sprout seeds and beans.Black beans make decent sprouts.Of course mung beans, lentils and soy beans also make good sprouts.Any edible bean can make a good sprout, and they are actually healthier than the beans themselves. But it also means your dried beans got wet, and you could also have mold and other nasties since it was not controlled. So you would have to boil them/cook them if you were going to eat them to kill any unwanted things.Or just toss them. 4951
