I went to use my Dell desktop this morning and it did nothing. I called Dell support and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. I thought it might be the power supply but he's pretty sure it's the motherboard. My warranty expires TOMORROW! Since I reported it today, it's covered. They will send someone out Tuesday to install a new motherboard! I'll call tomorrow to see if I can extend the warranty.Normally, I don't pay for extended warranties. Do you normally buy extended warranties on electronic devices?
@Retired_Engineer: if you pay for the devise with certain credit cards, the warranty is automatically extended. the extended warranty you pay for is usually a poor choice. if it wasn't, they wouldn't offer it
