Do you love your job or are you still trying to figure out what you want to do "when you grow up"?If you love your job, how long did it take you to figure out what you love doing?   4951

I stumbled into my job. It was not anything I ever thought I would want to do but I love it.  I think the group of people I work with make it great.  I have worked with other companies doing the same thing and hated it.It is a give and take. I don't make as much as I would like, but it is flexible and lets me spend time with my family. 4951

I would say I like it but not love it. I'm thankful that I have a good job so I try not to complain too much at home. I just get burned out sometimes. 4951

@alecktra: Actually most of the time I do when 1) we have enough staff 2) I have a group of patients that actually want to get better rather than cause drama in one form or another and realize that there are other people that are just as sick if not more sick then they are.I have always wanted to be a nurse, so I knew that I would love the job of taking care of people and helping them to realize the potential that they have to be as well as they can be.  I also love the challenge of trying to figure out the best way to help them and it's not always about getting them BETTER per say.  Sometimes it is about just giving them comfort and permission to receive that comfort.

Absolutely love my job although I took a pretty circuitous route to it.  Although I had graduated high school at 16 and had a BS at 19, it wasn't until I was in my late 20's and had spent a decade in the military that I sort of fell into my current career.  Sort of like falling in love with the right girl, I knew pretty quickly that this is what I was meant to do.  As if working my dream job wasn't good enough, about 10 years ago we decided to relocate from Arkansas to Kingwood and my company not only agreed to allow me to go full-time work-from-home, but gave me a raise of nearly 25% to make sure I wasn't tempted to jump into the Houston market.Life is good.  4951

I loved my "career" in outside sales for 20 years in the outdoor billboard printing/Advertising industry. I am a firm believer that when you find your passion, the monetary rewards yield naturally and with ease.  I've not been in Corporate USA in 9 years. I have worked in a garden center setting for the last 7 years. Though the gig doesn't pay much, my love for the industry and the job satisfaction make it worth while. Not sure if I will return for the spring season at the Garden Center.....decisions decisions.   4951

Mom was a pretty good job but that has pretty much turned into a support role only. I loved being general manager but hated the environment I was working in. Last job in sales paid crazy good and I loved the mind game aspect of it but hated what I was selling. So putting those together, I need to be a sales manager somewhere. 4951

Love my job.How long did it take to figure out what I love doing?Think I knew when I was about 8 or so, I knew I loved working with computers.Wasn't until 1996 or so that  I got a job working with computers.  Worked for a little independent computer repair guy in Newd Bedford Mass.   He taught me a lot.  My first big job was at a United Way office, they had gotten infecte3d with a virus that affected .doc files.  Being that it was United Way, they had a ton of .doc files.  All of them had to be cleaned on each machine.   Yeesh, that took about a week or so.  Since then I tried to stay working around computers whenever I could. Now I have a salary job doing what I love and it isn't too shabby.   Had plenty of jobs that I hated, that is no way to live. 4951

I love my job. I started out doing something I never thought I would do, but I learned how to enjoy it and continuously improve. Then my efforts were rewarded with something that i always knew I've loved to do. 4951

I love my job!I quit my (very high paying) job about two years ago to pursue my own business, and I could not be happier.  It's not for everyone, but it works for me and I am happy! 4951

I'm having a tough time with it.   I've had some very cool jobs in the past, but they didn't pay all that well.  Now I have a boring job that pays well, but way below my abilities.  My brain is rotting.I'm also trying like hell to relocate, so that's not making it easier.  But there are issues surrounding that as well.  Rock and hard place. I feel trapped on many levels.     4951

I like my job, though it's not something I would have ever imagined myself doing. I just kind of fell into it. I enjoy the work and generally like the people I work with -- though a few of them need to pull their heads out of their arses. 4951
