Has anyone had good luck with Direct tv or Dish in Kingwood? Are there other choices? I'm ready to drop Suddenlink after they sneakily dropped all the Viacom channels by only telling us about our new channels--we can now watch 30 year old Matlock & Murder She Wrote shows on HMM.  No more SpongeBob? 4951

DirecTV is the same. They keep dropping channels and raising prices to "better serve" us. 4951

I dropped their cable a while back when we hit out Internet cap. Had to install a second internet line to get unlimited internet. Now we just watch Netflix, Hulu, and a few others 4951

We had Direct TV for several years. It was so much more expensive. Also...When they dropped channels they didn't tell me, nor did they replace them. They would give a $5 credit per month if I called and complained. Lame! 4951

We have not had any problems with Dish. I am not in Kingwood though. 4951

I got the email from Suddenlink about the stations being lost and replaced with whatever TF they wanted the day before the stations were actually taken.I don't have Suddenlink for TV anymore though (just internet)Â the picture quality was miserable on HD channels. I got tied of watching pixelated compression artifacts from the low bit rate codecs they use in their video steams. Many problems with audio quality, again for the same reasons. Poor infrastructure limits overall bandwidth forcing excessive compression to deliver the range of channels. Not everyone recognizes they aren't getting a quality product though.I ditched them over a year ago for DirecTV and have been infinitely happier with the picture and audio quality. 4951
