Can anybody recommend a dog loving, reliable groomer in the Kingwood/Atascocita/Humble area? I just picked my dog up from Dog Gone Stylin' on Loop 494.  My dog was there for SEVEN HOURS - he was third in line when I dropped him off at 7:45am this morning.  When I asked why so long and told them I felt this was unacceptable, the owner was so rude and pretty much verbally attacked me.  Her first response was, "So?".  In the end, I told her I'm not so sure we will be back....and she told me that was fine, I shouldn't come back.  She's been abrupt in the past, this time was down right rude. 4951

I haven't heard good things about Persmart or Petco so stay away from them. @OhHappyPets do you know anyone? My good friend's daughter does it from her home, but she is in New Caney. They are good people. Let me know if you want me to message yoi her number. 4951

We have had good luck with dog gone styling, but also for years with golden paws on 1960 in humble. But they are usually there all day also.
Petco did them last time, and it was quicker, and that were fine. 4951

I quit Dog Gone Stylin for the same reasons.  I was one of Lisa's first customers.  She is very rude & disrespectful.  Not sure how she keeps her customers if she treats them all that way.  Also, keeping the dogs that long is ridiculous!!!She caters to the clients that come in every week & probably tip well.  I don't need the disrespect she shells out.  I went up 494 to Klassy Klips in Porter.  It is where Lisa trained.  The older lady isso sweet & has owned it for like 30 years.  It is just a hole in the wall, but she does a good job; she works 6 days a week;  this is her life!  And, she is a doll! 4951

@bam527: why would you go back if you're treated like that?

@bam527....I'm with @FoFa on this one.......We've taken our lil' Scottish Warrior to Golden Paws for the past year or so.........They've always done an excellent job on groomin' his 'do at a very reasonable price, but most importantly they always call me about 15 minutes before he's going to be finished so I can be there to scoop him without him having to wait.....  ....He's got bad nerves and separation anxiety (or maybe I do), but whateves.... Here's their info....1410 FM 1960 Bypass Rd E # E, Humble, TX 77338(281) 446-2275 4951

I an so glad we have dogs that do not to be groomed.  My Dh sticks them in the shower when they smell and all I have to do is brush them and be done.My parents take their dog to Kings Crossings and their only complaint is the price.  They still keep taking him back every month though so it must be worth it. 4951

@topcat @bam527 I have a client who had a great experience with a groomer recently. Her old English sheep dog would be really nervous with groomers, so the vet started basically putting him under & shaving him, which I think traumatized him even more. Well she got a referral to someone who actually treats him well & is gentle with him & he's done awesome with her. I forget who she is, but I'll text my client tomorrow & find out. 4951

@Okiedokie....Both of my boys usually just take a shower with me or the hubbs when they start smellin' a lil' ripe.........But, around every 3 months we take Willie to get his 'do done and get back to his Scottish roots... 4951

I've experienced issues with my dog coming back with scratches and cuts when taken to Petsmart. I now take him to Dogs Day Inn, and have been very pleasantly surprised with them. 4951

I paid $90 for a bath, nail clipping, hair cut, and ear cleaning. I don't know if you'd count that as expensive or not. 4951
