As of midnight last night, Sudden Link changed its channel line up claiming it is bringing requested channels to its customers. THAT IS A LIE! They were in disputes over $ with Viacom, and did not reach an agreement. So all of the channels provided by Viacom are gone now, such as MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and all Nick channels, Comedy Central, CMT, BET, and TVLand. We need to complain! I want my MTV!!!  4951

I was wondering what happened. My dh likes to watch cops and we switched channels and saw blaze tv was on there . I am calling them tomorrow to complain". Maybe if enough complain they will pick them up. They make enough money from subscribers. 4951

I've been going back and forth with someone in customer service online there. My biggest issue is that the only notice we ever saw was one notice that came up when I flipped over to Comedy Central on Sunday night about a negotiation between Suddenlink and Viacom. We've been through this with both Dish and DirecTV in other areas, and knew well in advance about the negotiations, and in those cases they came to an agreement. Suddenlink is saying there will be no agreement with Viacom, and the channels added were based on customer requests. So far I have not been able to find out how that came about, or how some of these channels were chosen. To be frank, 24 channels were removed, including all Nickelodeon channels, and the "additions" included channels we already received (FXX, Hallmark, OWN, to name a few) so we're getting fewer channels at the same cost. But somehow this benefits us as customers? My daughter is nearly four. We have to explain why there is no more Peppa Pig or Dora the Explorer. I am desperately looking for DVDs of some of her favorite shows and directing her toward Disney Jr. Sprout doesn't have the same draw, and many of those shows already come on PBS. It's just maddening to have no notice. And because of the direction our apartment balcony faces, we cannot get a signal from Dish or DirecTV. We had Dish when we moved down here and wanted to keep it, but had the signal issues, which is why we went to Suddenlink. (Not to mention internet, which is another touchy issue - we can't stream whole episodes of Viacom shows online through the network websites. Thanks to those who oppose Net Neutrality....) 4951

My daughters family switched to Dish. Sudden Link lost several customers. If I move back to their area I'll get satellite television. Customers with kids and grandchildren my watch Sponge Bob, mine have for years my 8 years old grandson knew the song for Sponge Bob before he was 2. Loosen your tight wad butts and bring back the channels you took away. I have Time Warner and they didn't drop channels or raise our cable fee, I used to love you, but I'll get satellite before losing CMN, ION and other channels you don't provide. 4951

All I want to know is, who unlocked this thread?!?!?! There hadn't been a post in over six months.... now someone dug it up from way back when and started posting. These SuddenLink threads are starting to look like pet/lost dog threads!!!!

Suddenlink is dying a painful death. Look, when a company ramps up advertising that means guess what? They are losing business! I get mail from them every week and somebody knocking at my door every month for the past six months. I keep telling them no, no way do I sign up for a provider that changes the rates in 6 months. Not going to happen. Either lock me in for a couple of years or go away. I'm not getting caught up in your shell game tactics. I have an antenna, I have Amazon. I can get almost the same thing for 1/10 of the costs. Unless they change their business model I give them a couple of years.   4951
