Hello. I just moved here from WI with my husband and 2 daughters 15 and 10. Im not working yet and do not know anyone in TX so im getting a bit bored at home. Just wondering what does everyone do for fun here? Also i need suggestions on places to go. Meaning i need a good salon/spa? Resteraunts? Etc... Open to all suggestions. Thanks 4951

I think there are Meetups in the area you would fit right in. See MeetUp.com 4951

Depending on your budget the Conservatory has an excellent spa. Facials, massage, hair. Sadly, it is no longer in my budget but I would love to be a regular again!

For a simple massage, I go to N8 Touch in Atascocita.

Many will recommend Arturo's for hair.

I like Le Tique for mani/pedi. They have a Mon - Wed special on pedis.

@rnmom welcome to Kingwood! I moved here from PA 5 years ago. It was hard for me to make friends here due to working a ton and having kids to keep up with. It took some time but I have met some great people here.I have 3 teens now a son who is 17 and two daughters 15 & 14. I am free on Friday afternoons if you want to meet for lunch. We can do an explore KW day. 4951

@RNMom:  Welcome to Texas and to Kingwood!  If you're not from a big city, you'll find the traffic here to be a pain, but you get used to it (sorta).  We find most everything we need in Kingwood, Atascocita, or Humble.  If going into Houston, a friend gave me a good tip when I first moved here.  He told me to prepare myself that it will take at least an hour to get anywhere in Houston.  The roads are better now, but traffic can still be bad!

My two favorite malls are Memorial City and the Woodlands. I only go to Deerbrook if I am just going in one store and back home.
