>> Love the sound of a Harley too. Hubby has his license but living down here I refuse to let him get one
@mpjp0907: Very smart girl! I would worry for the whole time he was gone, if my husband had one down here.
@thegoodwife: if they take their riding seriously and are very conscious about riding safely, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Yes, accidents happen, but we don't stop driving cars because of accidents. We just try to be as safe as possible.
@donnatella: BULL. I was very serious about my motorcycle driving, but I still got hit. I was going down a street. An oncoming car had its left turn signal on. She came to a stop as I approached the road she was turning on, so i figured that she saw me. Just as i got near her, she suddenly turned right into me. The sun was behind me and very low. She just didn't see me. It was a girl I had known since we were kids. It tore off my left leg except for one group of muscles. I spent 4 months In the hospital and had too many surgeries to count. The biggest motorcycle is no match for any car. The motorcycle rider WILL suffer is there is a wreck. In a car, you are in a metal cage that offers a lot of protection.I have gotten back on a motorcycle just to prove I could/would, but there is no way in hell I would ride one in Houston traffic.
