I went to a doctors appointment today as a follow up for my surgery.  Both the nurse and Physicians Assistant (PA) are very pretty.   Found out that the bone in my leg is infected with Staph and another bacteria. The infection is not in my skin/tissue, just the bone.   I was concerned about infecting my wife, so I asked them if I needed to take any precautions.  The PA said that "we didn't have anything to worry about unless she kissed my bone".  I smiled and said "Be careful how you phrase that."  It took a few seconds for it to click.  The nurse cracked up and then the PA got it.  My wife turned red and they laughed so hard, people down the hall could hear them.  With their reaction, I laughed so hard, I almost cried! All the way home, I reminded my wife that she couldn't kiss my bone!It was the high-light of my day! 4951

...I was honestly pretty lazy today, if I say so myself.......Toked on some doob and got to Season 3 of Sons Of Anarchy........Thanks Netfix!....But, in my admitted laziness, I did make a pretty killer cheese quesadilla tonight ........And I washed up the bed clothes.........So, just a few small victories, but victories none the less.... 4951

@thegoodwife:  Thank you! My doc is going to contact an Infectious Disease doctor to get me in ASAP.  They gave me a stronger oral antibiotic, but I will probably need a series of antibiotic treatments via IV.  Since we didn't hear anything today, it will probably be Monday before we hear anything.  They said it's Staph and Citrobacter Kerosi. I had an MRI (with contrast) back in July which showed no bone infection.  When my wife and I went to a cottage in Fredericksburg in August for our 38th anniversary, we wrapped the leg and got in the hot tub.  When I got out, the bandage was wet, so the wrap had leaked.  I suspect that is where the infection came from (either there or the hospital).  Just another episode in the past 42 years since my motorcycle accident!
