1197 miles past due, so trying kwik kar this time. Blended is a tad cheaper than jiffy lube, seem nice enough. But they pulled my air cleaner, I just replace 2 Months ago, and wanted to replace it. Kiddy lube is a tad better about that, but they are WAY cheaper at the auto parts store 4951

I use flagship Carwash. They aren't pushy, they wash your car for free with an oil change and if you bring your own air filter they'll slap it in there for free. 4951

@FoFa - your car is still newish. Why don't you take it the Honda dealer? They are comparable to other places. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt - with the new engines on the Accord (not sure about the Civic) as of 2013, my oil lasts roughly around 6000 to 6500 miles!! It uses a 0W 20 oil.  4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt:  If the owner's manual says 7500 miles, do you still change it at 3000?

@QueenB: Yes, oil & a filter is relatively cheap compared to replacing an engine. Changing the oil is one of the most important things you should be doing for your engine on a regular basis.

@QueenB - you have the new Accord, right? You press the button in the middle of the dashboard where the miles are recorded. On mine, you press it 3 times and your percentage of oil left will show up. 4951

The oil cap says 0-20W, but you can only get that in full synth oil, I like a blend, it is cheaper, and the owners manual actually says any oil meeting (some certain specs) will work 4951

Do you have that button on your dashboard with the percentage. I've changed my oil 3 times in a year a half - about every 6000 miles. The manual has always said 7500. The older Accords and I am sure other older cars - it is still good to change every 3700 to 4000. 4951

"@FoFa - your car is still newish. Why don't you take it the Honda dealer? They are comparable to other places."I don't think they are.  The dealers charge environmental fees on top of the oil change price.  At least that's what Ford does.  I do not bring the car to the dealer for oil changes. 4951

On m personal vehicles I change the oil every 5000 miles and use Mobile one and mobile one oil filters. I usually get 250k on all  vehicles with no problems. Older vehicles had 300o mile oil change intervals. Newer vehicles are manufactured to much tighter and better tolerances, are more efficient. My new truck now has 400 miles on it and I will change it at 1000 miles for the first oil change. My old 74 Ford I sold to a friend of mine now has 522,000 miles still running strong on the same motor! (300 cu in inline 6). Oil changes are cheap insurance and critical to the life of your motor. I am a vehicle nut and take care of my vehicles. I have 12 vehicles and 22 motorcycles (collector) and oil changes and maintenance are a critical part of my routine. BTW I have a 1917 Indian for sale..This particular bike was restored by Mr. Weisman in the 90's and was in an old barn at the flight Museum in Kingsbury Texas. I have some land out there and a couple of barns full  of kewl guy stuff. THe show Pickers could do a summer long special on my buildings out there. I have this place to keep the peace with my wife! Emoticon.....Back go oil......Here is an outstanding link for your review.http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/engine-oil-analysis/

@fcabanski: Streeter-Smith ion Conroe, to far for an oil change, the local KW Honda dealer, not a fan, lets leave it at that.
