When I was leaving 6 trucks pulled up, one went over the yellow posts. The others parked at the front of the park. Just curious with the schools right there. 4951

@Mccrj: Maybe you see them everyday because they have you under heavy surveillance and are stalking you. 4951

that's funny,,, don't worry, there is nothing going on.because US customs and border protection DOES NOT have a "base" at IAH,,, besides,,,,  those guys are part of the Homeland Security Investigators and the Deportation officers who round up illegals working in areas.NOT associated with the officers at the airport... that's a whole different department and section of work.they DO NOT constantly "patrol" humble and kingwood,,, most of them work in the area, or are taking vehicles to certain places for repairs, or just even lunch. Also they might be presenting the school a show and tell.also,, CBP has k9 dog handlers who conduct training on Wednesdays. Many times they use parks and open fields for their training programs. 4951

@KTownTexican: patrolling might have been the wrong word but regardless I do see them in NE Houston a couple times a week, and yes they do have a field office near IAH... whether the agents I see work out of the IAH office or not I can't say, I have never stopped them and grilled them with questions...

I don't mind if I run into them.  My papers are in order.  Lineage and heritage traced back to the the Original Colonies and Mayflower peeps on one side and to the true original Americans, the Indians on the other.  I did join the Daughter of the American Revolution for a short time, but just couldn't bring myself to join the Daughters of the Confederacy (too politically incorrect). Qualified for the something of the American Indian Wars, but never looked to far into that one. I'm too pale to be believable on that one. 4951

Yes customs and border patrol has a office near IAH. Along with secrete service. I know this, cause I worked next door to them for about 6 years. Most people do not know this due to the officers all being under cover agents. 4951

@tmi4184: NO there is not such job as Customs and Borger PATROL,,, its Protection. The Border Patrol is a different agency, and there are very few Border Patrol Agents in Houston,, they work the bordersNo he said they had a base,,, and they don't have a base, they offices. No Customs and Border Protection officers DO NOT work under cover. those are Homeland Security Investigation Agents,,, also known as ICE Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Now,,, Customs and Border Protection do have Deportation Officer/Agents,, they tend to wear regular clothing, but do not do undercover work. What are the differences between Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)? United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is responsible for protecting our nation's borders in order to prevent terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is responsible for the administration of immigration and naturalization adjudication functions and establishing immigration services policies and priorities.United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for identifying and shutting down vulnerabilities in the nation's border, economic, transportation and infrastructure security.
