So,  this damn intermittent pain throughout my forearm and wrist has not gotten any better,  actually has gotten worse.  PT/Chiro along with electro therapy did not help it, and epidurals (two of em) did nothing.  I was told the last option was surgery, which would keep me out of work fro at least 10 weeks, if not longer.  I decided to give acupuncture a try.  Nothing else has worked and I can't be out work for that long, so I figured why not.  Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it.  I have always been curious about it and its merits. Since it has been around for a few thousand years, I figured it was either a really really good scam or might actually work.  Needles don't bother me so ti wasn't that big an issue.  A couple of the spots did make me twinge though.   He put half a dozen needles in my left arm (right one is the one with the pain) couple on my left foot, and two in my lower lip, and one right under my nose, (that did make my eyes water a smidge) Then he twisted them some to stimulate the area and had me do some neck and shoulder exercises.    Then stimulated them some more, more exercises, then he removed them,.  Then he had me lay down,  put about 4 or 5 in my left foot.  three or four in my left arm and hand, two in my upper ear lobe, one between the eyes, and one in the crown of my scalp.   Rubbed my right arm with some herbal extract, smelled pretty good, turned on some soft music and I chilled for 30 min.  He says I should see results after 4 weeks, (2 times a week). The treatments are cumulative.  I figure if I don't feel any different after three weeks I'm done with it and I'll just have to hope it doesn't get to the point where I have to have surgery.  tl;dr --  Went to acupuncturist for the first time, wasn't too bad. 4951

I have a great lady here in Kingwood I use.  She is actually an RNEmoticon  You don't leave feeling great, but over time you do feel better with acupuncture @Murf.  I know my general aches and pains are just no there when I go.  I now only need to do once a month.  Best money I could ever spend on myself.

@Fallon: I'm hoping, he said after its resolved, if it is, I won't have to come back at all.  Time will tell, I'm hopeful though, kind of have to be at this point, no other choice really.
