I'll probably sound dumb for asking... But why do some dogs need to be fostered before going up for adoption? Does he need work in a specific area or need to recover from surgery/a disease?
@jack1:
We like to know more about a dog before adopting out so we know what would be a good match.
Some fosters do end up adopting. It's a good way of getting to know a dog without making a commitment.
Our adoptions start out with a 2 week trial. If it's not a good match, the dog goes back to the foster. 4951
