BK's in porter on 494 (a little after Pete's burger but before porter) on he left (going towards porter from KW).AJ's I find takes longer, and cost more, but they seem to do good work.Last time I used the guys on NP near Shipley's. They came out, picked up my rider, fixed it and brought it back (for a fee of course). They did Ok work, just the dotting the i's and crossing the T's had a little left to be desired. Like leaving the cables out insgtead of running it through the body, so I trip on it all the time, those kind of things. 4951

@angiekaye:  If you've got oil in the cylinder (on top of the piston) and tried to start it, you may have messed it up pretty bad.  Good luck with it.

it was locked up, couldn't pull start.  Got that to work, just replaced plug and filter put more oil in it.  Now its wanting to start but wont.  Soon as hubbin gets home he will look at it again.  We did blow out the plug hole and cleaned it  no more oil is coming out of it that I can tell.    4951

@angiekaye:  My guess is that it locked up because it tried to compress the oil on top of the piston.  Now that you've removed most of the oil and it rotates, that's a good sign.  Excess oil in the cylinder will cause the spark plug to foul.

@Retired_Engineer: yep hubbin just got home and said that... said we will take apart the carb tomorrow and see if we can fix it. the oil was pouring out of the exhausted when we got it out of the shed.

@angiekaye:  Husq mower has a briggs engine correct? is the carb plastic or metal and does it have a primer bulb on it? I would start by removing the gas from the tank first and remove the carb bowl under the carb and clean with carb cleaner. Put new gas in not the one you have stored up in the gas can and fill the lawn mower and give it a couple light pulls to get that gas to work its way to the carb. Then try to start it with choke on.2nd on all push mower engines or any small engines to check to make sure that you have the right amount of oil is to never use the dip stick instead use the threading where you have the oil cap and the correct amount of oil should at the on 2nd threading from the bottom, this does not apply to riding mowers.Let me know what happen.
