It depends on your skin. Go see a good cover up tattoo artist and talk to them. 4951

Then I have another question to anyone who knows...

I'm very light. I wonder if they could just use light or cream colored ink of that even exists to cover the color of the scar to diminish it instead of putting more color into a design. I want to deflect not highlight. Does that make sense? 4951

@donnatella:

That sounds more like work more for a plastic surgeon than a tattoo artist, just my opinion. 4951

@MTechnique: I have a lot but they are hidden. Bad accident years ago. One doesn't bother me, sort of a badge of survival since most people don't normally survive this type, but the neckline scar I would like to cover.

I actually know nothing about tattoos other than thinking they are hot on guys, so I don't know if my request is weird or not.

That would not work out long term. Everyone's skin takes ink colors differently. The color fades over time. Plus if it's visible...The tattooed part would stay pale against tanned skin.

If you're wanting to get rid of the scar by having it blend in, you need to talk to a plastic surgeon about scar revision. If you want to cover it up and have a tattoo...talk to a tattoo artist. 4951

I've had a number of old scars heal.  If they don't, I've had success cutting off/out the scar tissue.  4951

There are creams like Mederma that help reduce the appearance of scars.

As a child, my grandmother suggested that I put Vitamin E oil on a chicken pox scar. It greatly faded - luckily! The biggest pox mark was on the tip of my nose. I felt like Rudolph! 4951

I'm telling you, cut out the scar tissue.  Clean and bandage the are well.  It will heal without a scar. 4951
