>> Turns out the pipes that were replaced were not causing the leak. It some pipes that are suppose to drain the water and water heater outside but they weren't piped to go outside when the house was built. Or something like that. Basically I am screwed!!
@N+T: PM me the details and who you used and what you thought of them... I have the same issue, I kow those pipes can also get clogged.... I am scared to have someone out..... but If I wait only more damage will be done...ughhh
@GoldenGirl:
I used Jared's plumbing. The sent out a master plumber who was nice but didn't know what was causing the leak. Some other guys showed up to help and they thought they found the leak. They replaced the pipe they thought was leaking. I also had a new water heater installed. While installing the water heater I started having the orginal leaking problem but worse. So, it wasn't the pipe they originally thought. It was the A/C over flow drain or something like that, not sure the exact terminology. It just needed to be flushed and for me to pour bleach down it twice a year. The guys were nice and the master plumber came back and explained everything so I could understand. I just wish they had found the problem at first.
The pipe that was replaced I am sure needed to be. It was just a little frustrating. 4951
