3600 block of Oak Lake Dr. near Bear Branch Elementary. Neighbors reported hearing an explosion and going outside to see smoke coming from the home. There was one injury reported, neighbors say it was a pest control person working inside the home. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The home suffered heavy fire damage but is currently under control. I went to the residence to get pictures, there were ~6 fire engines on scene with multiple ambulances and an HPD SUV at the front of the street addressing concerned residents arriving home. I was able to get a few photos of the front of the home but the majority of damage was along the backside. Emergency responders were using a vehicle to ventilate the area around the yard which was still smoldering. 4951

I'm thinking the exterminator didn't expect the house heater pilot to be on when he fumigated the attic.
