A man claimed he purchased every pie at a Burger King, 23 in total, to spite an absentee mother and child who kept screaming he wanted one of the pies. The man posted his confession on Reddit and the story has gone viral online. The man said he stopped by a Burger King to get lunch and had a headache before he walked in. The next people who got in line were a mother and child, who was noisy and crying and repeatedly screamed, “I want a f—ing pie!”The man said he had to wait in line longer than usual for fast food due to staff being trained during the lunch hour. The long wait allowed for his headache to turn into a migraine with the screaming child behind him.At one point he asked the mother if she could get the child to be quiet, but she told him to stop trying to raise her child and got back on her cell phone. So he decided to get revenge on the pair.“I order every pie they have left in addition to my burgers. Turned out to be 23 pies in total, I take my order and walk towards the exit. Moments later I hear the woman yelling, what do you mean you don’t have any pies left, who bought them all? I turn around and see the cashier pointing me out with the woman shooting me a death glare. I stand there and pull out a pie and slowly start eating eat as I stare back at her. She starts running towards me but can’t get to me because of other lineups in the food court. I turn and slowly walk away.”The man said he ate some of the pies and gave the rest to his coworkers. 4951

OK - real or not- you want to applaud the man- a grown adult- who got "revenge" on a screaming child??? Really??? Maybe the child wasn't spoiled but maybe special needs? I have a son who was like that.

Totally not real but shame on any adult who thinks this is a proper response to a screaming child. I'm not fond of children who can't behave appropriately BUT I never get revenge on them or their parents. Guess I'm more adult- I walk away because I have that choice

It was revenge on a parent being so selfish as to stay there with a screaming child. What has happened to manners today? Was she so self absorbed that she couldnt have removed the disruption and go through the drive through instead. Is everyone so much on the "anything a child wants he gets" bandwagon that they would take the side of a bratty misbehaving child and rude parent in this situation? Are we all getting to be that over accommodating with the what ifs?

I feel assured that if this had been a special needs child, the mom would have said something to that effect and apologized for the distruption. No, this was simply rudeness be getting rudeness. 4951

I personally have walked out of stores because of screaming uncontrolled children!  If mine ever even thought of causing a scene their butts were busted on sight and they knew they would be.  So I never had this issue thank god..I also never took my kids shopping during, lunch, naptime or dinner time or close to bedtime.  usually early monring when they just get up and after eating would we go shopping.  Or i would wait til my husband got home and I went alone (great escape time)i just can't understand people that give their kids anything they want when they raise hell to get it.  What kind of respect for money are you teaching those kids?  Or why stress yourself out by taking the little ones shopping at nap time??? 4951

I would argue that the man was also sel absorbed and rude. Really it bothered him so much that he took that action? I've bee I'll since Tue evening with a summer cold that has caused a headache worthy of migraine status. Never once did I want to venture out I to public let alone to someplace where I would run into a screaming child.
So this didn't occur- but it is food for
Thought. I say if you're guilty of wanting revenge like that ( and you're an adult), then I feel you're just as self absorbed as the parent and screaming child.
Yes My son was like that- no I never tolerated that behavior and would never have gone there or bought the dang pie. I've also been in situations where he was in a rage and I couldn't remove him- and he didn't look special needs so I got "The Look". Yeah I was horrified, but I also realized that the people glaring at me had a much bigger issue than me or my son.
Now I'm not excusing parents who let their kids run wild-because I'm pretty cut and dried on that issue I'm just addressing the story on hand and the person's reaction ( revenge) 4951

Bottom line...it was rude of the parent to let the child disrupt like that...special needs or not. That designation and label is not a free pass in society to let kids run wild or for parents to get by with rudeness and not control their children. It was just a funny story about a guy that did something outrageous out of pure frustration that I'm sure everyone felt and we all have experienced from time to time.

People have to realize that their precious darling kids are not so precious and darling to the rest of the world when they misbehave like that and the public is stuck having to deal with them too. If they refuse to control their kids then they should keep them home. Not doing so is the rudest of all. Not everyone is going to adore kids and that is why we are seeing more and more adult only restuarant stories pop up. I applaud those restaurant owners for having the balls to do that, to stand up to the rude parents and provide their other customers with a nice pleasant place to enjoy a night out for a nice dinner. 4951

Why would someone need revenge on a screaming child? 4951

Another vote for "this did not happen." Some guy in Reddit claimed it happened, but nobody reached out to him an verified it? I'm taking my fake Internet outrage elsewhere. 4951
