True need is just that....TRUE need, AFTER luxuries have been eliminated and sacrifices have been made. Before I looked to any government program or community sharing event to give me a handout, I would have taken the Dave Ramsey approach and been unloading the fluff and non-essentials from my life such as cable or satellite, Internet, smartphone services, etc. Then, when the crisis was over, bring them back as able. Basic needs of food, shelter, school supplies, basic utilities are much more important than my own personal wants and luxury comforts.
@donnatella:
First of all you don't know me from a hole in the wall. I am at work and on the internet which is none of your business anyway. You don't know what my family has or hasn't done to keep a roof over our heads.

Maybe you do need to get off your high horse. I've been posting on this board since 2008 and in the last 2 weeks your answers to some stuff really need to be checked. I don't know what makes you think you are better than anyone else.
Â
I hope you never in your life need help with anything or have to see how it feels to wonder how you work your butt off everyday but you are still getting no place in life.
Â
On time of that, I am 41 and have been legally working and paying taxes since I was 16. If getting some free school supplies for my daughter is an issue for you keep your comments to yourself. I am not living off welfare or asking anyone on here for a hand out.

I realize you have alot of friends on here but your posting attitude has sucked as far as I'm concerned. 4951
