@bp2018:

$30 light bill?? How do you do that in a house??

In our other house with 40 year old windows and a pool it was nothing for the bill to be $500 plus during the summer. Mine this last month was $180.

I can't remember what mine was, but I know it was higher than I thought it should be. I set my thermostat to 77 now. I'm hoping it will save money on next month's bill. 4951

Wow, that's a lot.  How much was the bill for the air conditioning?  That on top of the high light bill must be murder. 4951

@fcabanski: Bills are not capable of committing murder. (I can play your game too)

@mommyof5: My water bill was higher than my electric bill. But we had sod laid front & back. Soo between the two it was $500.00+/-

I live in a two story, 2080 sq ft house. Keep the thermostat at 76, which blows 58 at the vent (at least that is what the AC guy said) and my light bill is $62.00 per month all year round - balanced billing. 4951
