I can't seem to control my environment!!! ARGH!!! I know I could google these things, but you guys know way more.  Why is my freezer so frosty? I'm doing everything right, but can't get the algae out of my poolEmoticon Is there some sort of secret to doing it.  4951

Have you shocked your pool recently?  After a while standard chlorine loses its effectiveness and you have to put some shock in it.  Take a cup full of pool water to any of the local places...I use Leslie's...and they'll do a free analysis of your water and tell you what you need.As far as the freezer, I suspect you have a bad seal.  Frost builds up when warm air with moisture is allowed in.  Someone is either opening it a lot or you have a leak.  Most likely the latter. 4951

Well, at least your hoo-ha isn't dusty! That would be tragic. 4951

@donnatella: Same remedy as the pool...it'd just need a little shock treatment.  ;-)

@Shodan66 @Donatella Yes. Both got shocked yesterday.I *will* take my water into the pool place. I forgot about that.  As for the freezer, it seems an egg roll had gone rouge and was blocking the seal on the bottom.   Can't trust anything made in China these days.I knew KDC was the solution to all life's problems! 4951

@topcat......Just called my hubb at work to relay your pool dilemma, and he recommends that you use an Algaecide and brush the sides of the pool down (to help scrape off / break down any stubborn algae)........Then use a Water Clarifier to help your pool filter cycle the algae through.........And that should do it..... ....You can score both cheaper at Lowes or at Ace than you can the pool supply, my beautiful friend.... 4951
