Did anyone else see on the tv in the last week or two this lady in the Woodlands showing off her 3000 sq ft closet? She was on several shows showing all her expensive and numerous handbags, jewelry, etc. Well her closet was robbed last night and she's guessing they stole $800,000 to $1,000,000 worth of her stuff. I think she said they stole all 10 Rolex watches. How come I don't feel sorry for her. She shouldn't have advertised her wealth like that on tv. 4951

I remember seeing that on the tube. Maybe she should've invested some of that money in better security? 4951

There was absolutely nothing news worthy about a vulgar display of wealth. It was nothing more than a "look at me look at me" piece. I'm sorry she was wronged and that someone chose to break the law, but I'm not much more sympathetic than that.

Allowing a TV crew into your home just to show off to the world really does invite trouble. 4951

Proud, maybe, but showing off like that is just asking for trouble. 4951

I saw the news clip/fb piece but this is the first I've heard of her being robbed. And I agree it was quite a vulgar display of wealth. 4951

Good point, but those are celebrities that are already in the public eye and on TV for various other reasons, and most get paid for what they so on TV.

The Woodlands lady was only on TV to show off we closet, possessions, the fact that she's rich and no other reason, from what it sounds like.

That makes a big difference, IMHO. 4951

I thought her closet was the bomb-diggity.  Her closet is twice the size on my home.  What I would give for just one of her Chanel bags............   4951

The story of the burglary is on the abc13 website. The comments are not sympathetic. 4951

Jealous people always complain about the wealthy flaunting their wealth. I don't care what you own or have. I may not be able to have the same but my feeling is good for you. I don't know how this woman came into her money & I really couldn't care less. It's rightfully hers & nobody has any reason to think she has to much, that's she should hide it. For some reason she can afford all this, well good for her.  There's certain things in life I want and they differ drastically from hers, but I will not condemn her for them. Plus she does do alot of good with her money!I hope they solve the crime real soon.  4951

I don't begrudge anyone their wealth or the things they can buy with it.  However, I think they are lacking something (maybe self-respect or self-confidence) if they feel the need to show it to the world.  It smacks of "look at me!" Or plain old fashioned bragging. 4951
