I have always wanted to go to auctions,, but what I hate is that I may only have a limited amount of money and you get these guys who do this work for a living and they buy everything at a crazy price, where I cant afford to get items.Just once I would like to make it where the common folk can just go and buy things. 4951

@KTownTexican:  I've been to many of @goldengirl 's auctions and I can tell you that things go for very reasonable prices, and many of the things go seriously cheap. There are plenty of seats and the bidders are just regular people. There is something for everyone every auction. I think you would enjoy it... it's fun, the people are easy-going, and there are no people who run up the prices. Come on out tomorrow night... I'll save a seat for you, or for anyone that wants to relax after a long work week.

@QueenB:  I'm not telling!  You might "steal" them from me.  Actually, I like knives and there is an assortment.  The stone spear points and rock specimens look interesting.  I have a couple of old radios and there is one shown.  I don't know that I'm going to make this auction but I would like to catch some in the future. @GoldenGirl:  I noticed that some of the pictures don't have a description but I know what they are.  Let me know if I can help.

@Retired_Engineer: lol -  yeah I am not familiar with many of the tools ......lol   so I hesitate to enter a description and show my lack of knowledge !!!!!        AND if you like knives the next auction has a pretty large collection of knives as well !!!!!

@KTownTexican: I have been-I think it depends on what is being auctioned off.  I have bought a nightstand, lamp and large mirror for 15 .00.  The last one I went to, there were so many people that things were being sold at or above retail.  That auction had tons of tools and fishing things.

Estate sales can be interesting.  My wife found an electrical engineering book from around 1908 for me.  Even though I'm a mechanical engineer, it's still cool.  She also bought me an old slide rule. Calculators were brand new when I started college, so many older engineering students still used slide rules. 4951

@Okiedokie: I remember that sale !!!  That was our best sale to date... I don't think retail- but the prices were higher than normal.  That is when I realized that "man" sales are awesome - They don't like to lose!!!  Fishing gear and tools do really well if you have enough of them to bring the heavy hitters our... We had a lot of snap on tools that week too !!!!   @queenb is another one that does not like to lose - she has a good eye and we have similar taste in stuff !!!  She also does her homework/research !!!!!
