@FoFa:

I make mine with mayo, white wine vinegar, sugar, salt/pepper, garlic powder and crushed red pepper flakes. It's kinda sweet with a vinegary/spicy kick. Sometimes I mix in thinly sliced red onion depending on a who's eating.

I thought all cole slaw is sweet to a certain degree. I guess mine's sweet and creamy lol 4951

in South Carolina was there I had coleslaw at three different places all three were exactly the same all taste the same in all three were extremely different. they were all extremely fine not shredded more like I don't know little itty bitty pieces and they all had pepper corn and obviously some kind of cabbage in them and it was mostly a sweet kind of vinegar not creamy whatsoever. Not that big of a fan, but it was edible. 4951

I've always made my slaw tangy! Finely sliced cabbage, sliced red & green onion, green olives, pickles, and curly parsley. (sometimes I add red, orange or green pepper too). Drizzle vegetable oil just till moistened and toss. Then add red wine vinegar until it glistens. Salt, pepper and a bit of garlic powder. If you need it sweet, just add a half tsp of sugar. Let chill and it just gets better and better! No sugar or mayo for me. 4951

I love mine creamy - some cole slaw dressing mixed with mayo and milk. Can't stand the vinegary kind! 4951

TGI Fridays Ginger Lime Coleslaw is the best I've had I think.  If you haven't tried at the restaurant here is the copycat recipe.

CFA has the best coleslaw locally that I consider to be normal.  The rest with weird stuff in it, no thanks.
