My daughter was in the passenger seat of the car that crashed in front of the orthodontist. It was a one car collision. A deer ran out in front of her friend's car and he swerved. They were both observed at the ER and released. Both have concussions and whiplash, and both are thankful they both walked away from a terrible accident. Thank you to the good Samaritans who assisted the kids after the accident. All of us parents are thankful that nobody else was harmed, and that our kids will recover. On another note, we took the time to instruct the kids that you never swerve from an animal. It might be sad to hit them, but better to hit them than swerve and wrap your car around a tree. In a split second though, it is hard to say how I would have reacted. But the kids walked away, the deer walked away, and the sign has been repaired and is in place. It could have gone alot different and for that we are thankful!
@kellichesnut: I am so happy that they are OK! The same thing happened to my daughter on Kingwood Dr. last year. She swerved a bit to miss a dog, and the tire caught the curb and separated from the axel which led to her sideswiping a light pole. She was fine but definitely shaken up.
