Dex, as much as I like Molly's for our KDC hangouts, I would think the event planners for the 10th reunion would put a little more effort into the venue.  I mean, seriously, we, on the spur of the moment gather at Molly's.  Couldn't someone, somewhere secured a small ballroom, with a nice dinner or something at a nice hotel downtown or something?  Molly's peeps are good peeps, but their food menu is not the most attractive.

If you want a nice dinner and fun, maybe we can put something together for you and celebrate your 10th reunion with you.  I know @bp2018, @BooBear, @topcat, @BBQGuy, @Brat and I can do better.  Just let us know.  4951

@donnatella  @DrekonixI think there is a "nice" reunion planned as well... I think the Molly's Pub thing is just a pre party....   Happy hour prior to the event....    Thats just a guess though..... as it says "kicks off" 4951

Unless, Unless this is where you guys hung out in Highschool with fake ID's Then I can see Where Mollys would be on point. I agree with Donnatella. It should have been at a nice hotel or some nice venue. But....With all the Social Networking,  Emoticoneople might not see the need for a formal type gathering. Perhaps it's a monetary issue and the unemployment rate in this country.  4951

Are you saying @drekonix you went to school with a bunch of drunks?

Not sure where mine should be but I wasn't hanging out getting drunk in high school. Maybe a parking lot somewhere. 4951

@GoldenGirl: Yeah, not impressed with any of that.  Even Channelview, not known for being an area with a lot of glitz and money, had theirs at South Shore Harbour recently over a three day event.  That may just be the class of 1984, but if Channelview can do something like that, I can't believe Kingwood can't do better than ordinary common place locations.  House of Blues is a cool place to go out or maybe for lunch for those who work downtown, but that sounds like the planners got caught with their pants down and rushed to throw something together.

Again, Dex, the previous offer still stands for a nice dinner 4951

Sorry y'all i didn't mean to mislead anyone. I saw that it was a full weekend of events originally I just choose to omit that for the funny part about Molly's. I did not graduate in 2004 however I remember going to the Pub either last thanksgiving or Christmas weekend and seeing plenty of my classmates who had since left town back visiting for the holiday so it was like a mini reunion. I guess it's just amusing to me because Kingwood seems like a small bored little town sometimes with one of the few attractions for people of my age being going out to the bar. 4951

If I want a class reunion, all I have to do is go to the Kroger on 59 and Aldine Mail Route. Pretty sure I know half of the people in the store at any given time. 4951

@donnatella:
You should host a "Cougars of Kingwood" meeting there that evening. The ad will read like this: CoK Meeting, Molly's Pub. All women must be over 35.

I like the idea, cheaper on the grads to come, more will come if its cheaper. I know I haven't been to any of my reunions because I refuse to pay $100 a head to see people i'd rather forget! 4951

@topcat: I am not sure whether to be happy or upset that I do not meet the age requirement.
