We are new to the area and would like any recs/places to avoid for guitar lessons for my 10 yr old who has taken weekly lessons for the past year. School of Rock looks fun...anyone have any experience, good or bad, with them? Cost for them? We also were looking into Kingwood Music School and are open to having someone come to the house. 4951

Many consider Brian Turner the best guitar instructor in the area.  His website:  http://www.guitarlessonsbybrian.com/home/index.php 4951

@Ssimpson

We have our boy in the School of Rock for drums. He's 9 and he loves it. We've been very pleased with our experience there and the instructors are fantastic. It's $300 per month and that covers a 45 minute private lesson once a week and a 1.5 hour group rehearsal once per week. They get to form their own little band. The school had their first concert at the end of June and it turned out great for a bunch of kids with only a few months under their belts! They played Seven Nation Army, One Way or Another, I Love Rock and Roll, and Zombie. I'd recommend it to anyone. 4951

Is the Kingwood Music School still open? I have seen a For Sale sign on their property. 4951
