does anyone ever study history? the genesis of the present day conflict began in the 40s when the push for a jewish homeland began after the holocaust. the push was exacerbated because of all the morally upright western nations who refused entry to thousands upon thousands of refugees fleeing europe as the reich implemented the plans for the final solution. there were shiploads of refugees that made it across the atlantic only to be turned away from landing in any country including america. the result was the return to europe and then the deportation to the camps. there was then a growing movement among the jews to have a homeland in palestine. the more radical were the zionists who advocated the getting of that homeland by any means. those zionists committed acts of terror including planting bombs in hotels like the king david in cairo and the assassination of ranking dignitaries in the region. the result of all this was the acceptance by the western powers of the establishment of israel. of course the arabs objected to this since they were the ones losing the territory to what they, in their minds, considered a terrorist state. ever since the 40s the ancient conflict between the arabs and the jews was thus magnified by this and it resulted in wars in 56, 67, 72 and then finally the camp david accords brokered by jimmy carter. but tho there were peace accords there has always been ongoing low level violence. the latest rounds arose because of the murder of 3 jewish teens who were hitchhiking presumably murdered by palestinians....then a palestinian teen was burned alive by revenge seeking jews ( and they are being prosecuted for murder in israel) but all in all....the beat goes on
