I'm trying to make some chicken soup and it calls for dehydrogenated soup greens. What the heck is that?! I've searched the web to no avail. Please enlighten me! Last time I made this soup, I just skipped that part after agonizing over it for a week. Now I'd like to try the recipe again and add the soup greens if I can figure out what the heck they are! 4951

Did you Google it to find out what it means?  Maybe there's an easier substitute.  To me, it sounds like those soup starters you get in the grocery store on the soup aisle or maybe the boullion cubes.  Maybe just toss in extra veggies or  cubes to make up for the difference.  4951

@monyhoney: Just get a bowlful of scapings from the bottom of your lawnmower and you should be fine. (at least that's what it sounds like!) 4951

I always just add whatever vegetables I have on hand that sound like I would like it in a soup. Needless to say, it changes pretty often. 4951

I would just add cut up carrots, celery stalk and celery leaves and one large onion. 4951

Dehydrated soup vegetables.  I would just use fresh veggies.  4951

@donnatella:

Yeah, I Googled the s%!# out of it! I couldn't find anything. Oh well, I guess I'll just leave it out again. The soup was pretty awesome when I made it the first time so I guess I should just forget about those weird greens! 4951
